The renovation works are moving forward. With a stronger roof and structure, and the integration of the buildings added over time, the “bastide” is becoming a harmonious space to live and work. The project is led by the Cabinet d’architecte Lafourcade, which brings a strong experience in historical restorations in Provence. They take the greatest care to preserve the history and architectural features of the chateau.

Mille is the only chateau in the Apt area to have been in constant use since the early 13th century. It did not suffer serious damages from the wars that destroyed Provence, especially the religious wars of the 16th century. This explains its composite architecture and the complexity of the project, but also makes the unique character of this magical place.
