Several parcels have been planted: syrah in the Calavon sector, then vermentino and cinsault on the higher grounds, where white grapes used to produce particularly fresh and aromatic wines. The cinsault will enable us to produce a light, fresh and delicious rosé in 2022. The Calavon’s new vines have had a great start, in spite of a dry, hot summer last year. Syrah prospers on our terroir and it is an essential varietal in our wine production. Within our long-term restructuring strategy, we anticipate the need to replace our old vines when they are no longer productive. Although they are low-yield vines, the aromatic quality of the grapes makes them invaluable within our varietal mix.
